Local Sportsman Steve Walsh to join College football team launch celebrations

Learners and staff at Leicester College will be putting their best foot forward in front of one of Leicester City Football Club’s most well known players, Steve Walsh during the College’s football team’s official launch and skills competition.

Potential players will be vying for a place on the team at the skills competition held at St Margaret’s Pastures on 22 September 2010 with the stars presenting medals to all players taking part in the competition during the day. This is the first time the opportunity to play on the football team has been opened to all learners from across the College. The chosen team will be given the opportunity to compete in a league as well as playing in ‘friendly’s’.
