Leicester College Open Day March 2011

28/02/2011

Leicester College is hosting its first Open Day to be held on a Saturday.  On 12 March 2011 visitors will be able to take part in a range of demonstrations and workshops.   Science experiments such as making putty from milk and extracting DNA from bananas will intrigue and excite, cookery demonstrations will tickle the taste buds and performing arts demonstrations will light up the room.

Whether you are a school-leaver, employer, looking to kick-start a new career, or simply wanting to develop a new hobby, visit Leicester College Open Day to see the range of courses on offer.

Leicester College will be throwing its doors open on 12 March 2011, from 10am until 3pm.

There are a wide variety of courses on offer, from vocational or academic courses, full or part-time.  Leicester College welcomes people from all backgrounds.  Whether you are a school-leaver or a mature learner with family and work commitments, everybody is welcome.

The Open Day is also a chance for employers to find out how the College can benefit their company.  The College’s dedicated employer-focused team will be on-hand during the day to advise on the right funding, training and consultancy for your business.

All three campuses will be open and visitors will be able to take a tour of the extensive facilities and meet a wide-range of specialist staff.  A courtesy bus service will ferry prospective learners from campus to campus free of charge.

College Principal Maggie Galliers said: “Leicester College has a reputation, both locally and nationally, for offering courses which reflect the current and future trends of industry and commerce and we welcome all the learners that choose to come and study with us each year.”
