Ofsted Inspectors judge College outstanding in many key areas

The year has got off to a flying start for Leicester College, with one of the best college inspection reports in the Country.
The report, which confirmed that Leicester College is a ‘very good college with many outstanding features’, assessed the College’s Quality of Provision, Leadership and Management and Capacity to Improve all to be outstanding.
Inspectors also commented on the College’s outstanding approach to equality and diversity, its exemplary partnerships and its outstanding provision for adults.
Other highlights from the inspection report were that:
- ‘The college makes an outstanding contribution to the promotion of community cohesion and manages equality and diversity very effectively’
- ‘The college is outstanding at meeting the needs of learners, employers and the county’s wider community‘
- ‘Learners make an outstanding contribution to college life and their local community.’
Leicester College Principal Maggie Galliers, the learners, staff and governors were delighted with the glowing report, which particularly commended the College’s excellent range of courses and exceptional support for learners.
Speaking on the report published today, Principal Maggie Galliers CBE said: “This is an excellent inspection report that reflects all the hard work by everyone at Leicester College to support our learners.
“‘The inspectors were clearly impressed with everything they saw, particularly the breadth and range of our work with individuals and companies across the local area and the positive impact that studying with Leicester College has, not only on individual learners, but also on local businesses and the wider community.
“We are tremendously proud of everything that we and our learners have achieved and we will be celebrating this report for some time to come!”
