Foundation Degree in Creative Sound Technology
After taking A levels, including music, Richard decided he wanted to become more involved in the technical side of the subject and enrolled on the BTEC Diploma in Music Technology before progressing to the Foundation Degree. Since starting the course, Richard has played gigs at the College’s Upper Brown Street live music venue. In the future he wants to play and sell his own music and perform live.
Richard said:“The Foundation Degree appealed to me as I realised it would take me to a higher level, and a degree. The course focuses on finding your own employment, which appealed to me. “As well as having access to equipment, I am exposed to other music through meeting the other people on my course. “The facilities are fantastic; the tutors are involved in the subjects they are teaching so the course is relevant, up-to-date and useful.”
