Leicester College to set up stall at the Market
As part of its celebration of national Adult Learners’ Week from 14 to 20 May 2011, Leicester College will be on hand at Leicester Market to raise awareness of the wide range of full and part time courses available to adult learners that can be studied on an evening or day basis.
On the 18 and 19 May from 8.30am to 2.30pm Leicester College staff will be at the market to provide information and advice to the local community. This will provide the ideal opportunity for those looking to enhance their skills or take a fresh step in a new career to find out what’s on offer for them at Leicester College. There will also be Beauty and Sports taster sessions for those wishing to try their hand at something new.
Whether studying to meet personal aspirations or for career enhancement, Leicester College offers courses to suit everyone. From Hairdressing to Health and Safety, Fashion to Flower Arranging, a variety of subject and qualification choice is available, all designed to help learners reach their goals.
During Adult Learners’ Week 2011, Leicester College will also be celebrating the achievements of Access to Higher Education (Science) Diploma learner, Nathaly Bartsch. Nathaly was recently awarded a NIACE Adult Learners’ Regional Individual Award .Having left school with few qualifications, her determination to pursue her dream career alongside family commitments means she’s on her way to starting a degree in Pharmacy and is on track for her chosen career.
