Leicester College shortlisted for prestigious award from the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and the National Union of Students


Leicester College Diversity Manager, Ruth Pickersgill has been shortlisted in the Principal or Senior Leader category of the national Leading the Learner Voice Awards recognising innovation, effort and action in supporting and promoting learners.

Organised by the national Learning and Skills Improvement Service in partnership with the National Union of Students, the Leading the Learner Voice Awards attracted 96 entries nationwide this year.

They highlight the role of thousands of learners and trainees who are actively engaged in contributing to the continuous improvement of their organisation.

Kathryn James of LSIS said: “These Awards recognise not only those learners who excel in roles such as student governor, student officer and course representative, but also those motivated practitioners and managers who visibly and actively value the learner voice at every level within their organisation.”

Awards winners and those highly commended in a total of ten categories will be announced at the Awards ceremony at the London Art House on 29 June.
