Free public class by master bassist at Leicester College

The renowned record producer and London born US based bass player, Janek Gwizdala, is running a free public master class on the bass-guitar and demonstrations in musical concepts at Leicester College.
The event is being held on Tuesday 15 November 2011 at Leicester College’s Abbey Park Campus, and is being jointly hosted by TC Electronic and Leicester College’s Music and Sound Department.
Doors open at 6pm for a prompt 6.30pm start.
Janek has been on the international music scene for over a decade, touring as a band leader and working as musical director or sideman with some of the most respected names in the industry. These include: Randy Brecker, Hiram Bullock, Mike Stern, Airto Moreira, Flora Purim, Pat Metheny, Marcus Miller, Dave Kikoski, Adam Rogers, Jojo Mayer, V.V. Brown, Jem, Paul Shafer, Delta Goodrem, Gary Husband, Peter Erskine, Wayne Krantz, and Mark Turner.
Kirsti Rowberry, Curriculum Area Manager for Performing Arts, said “The music team at Leicester College are really excited to co-host an event with TC Electronic, showcasing such a talented and experienced musician.”
Janek, who has been endorsed by the American guitar maker, Fodera Guitars, and the Danish audio products manufacturer, TC Electronic, will be demonstrating and discussing his technique and musical concepts.
