Leicester College offers a variety of AS and A2 level subjects to further your career choices. Our focus is on helping you to achieve your potential. Your studies will be supported and your progress monitored by a team of tutors, mentors and teachers.

Your personal tutor will give advice and guidance on careers and Higher Education, arranging for learning support where needed.

Full-time courses are organised into learning pathways to provide sensible combinations which will aid your progress on to particular types of degree courses and careers. Three AS or A2 subjects make up a full-time course.

Art and Design subjects run at St Margaret’s Campus and include:

• Ceramics

• Fine Art

• Graphic Design

• Jewellery

• Photography

• Textiles.

All other subjects are located at Abbey Park campus and are arranged into two pathways, “Humanities and Social Science” and “Science”. Subjects across these pathways include:

• Psychology

• Sociology

• Biology

• Chemistry

• English Language and Literature

• Mathematics

• History

• Physics

• Business Studies

• Environmental Studies

• Science in Society

• Extended Project.

Where timetabling allows and where it is appropriate to your needs, there is some scope for learners to choose between the above lists, for example, for an Art and Design learner to choose AS English or History.

We also offer a limited range of Modern Foreign Languages in the evening that can be incorporated into your programme. Your choice of subjects will be discussed at interview and confirmed at enrolment.
