Career Learning BugsFeedback
If you’re not 100% sure what you would like to study, don’t worry. Sometimes the only way you know if you’re suited to a course is by trying it out for yourself.
That’s exactly what you can do with Leicester College’s new Career Learning Bugs.
A Career Learning Bug is a short course, which gives you a taste of a variety of careers in each of the College’s areas – from Business and Engineering to Computing and Performing Arts.
The Bug isn’t about sitting in a classroom – you’ll visit different employers to gain a feel
for a career, speak to people about their jobs and take part in plenty of practical
activities.
For example, a Fashion Career Learning Bug could provide you an insight into the varied careers in the fashion industry, such as a Fashion Designer, Buyer and Merchandiser, working as a freelancer or in a large organisation. You may also learn about designing, pattern cutting, production techniques and marketing. By the end of the Fashion Career Learning Bug, you’ll be clearer about which course is for you.
Career Learning Bugs are open to anybody aged 16 and above, and if you complete one
you may receive a qualification.
You can attend up to three Career Learning Bugs in the space of a year, one per term.
