Career Learning BugsFeedback
What if I don’t know what I want to do?
If you’re not 100% sure what you would like to study, don’t worry. Sometimes the only way you know if you’re suited to a course is by trying it out for yourself.
That’s exactly what you can do with Leicester College’s Career Bugs.
A Career Bug is a short course, which gives you a taste of a variety of careers in each of the College’s areas – from business and engineering to computing and performing arts.
Bugs aren’t about sitting in a classroom – you’ll visit different employers to gain a feel for a career, speak to people about their jobs and take part in plenty of practical activities. By the end of a Career Bug, you’ll be clearer about which of our courses is for you.
A Fashion Career Bug could provide you with an insight into the varied careers in the fashion industry, such as a Fashion Designer, Buyer and Merchandiser, working as a freelancer or in a large organisation. You may also learn about designing, pattern cutting, production techniques and marketing.
Career Bugs are open to anybody, studying at any level, who may benefit from learning about careers.
You can attend up to three Career Bugs in the space of a year, one per term.
