What is the Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA)?

The ATA is an innovative initiative designed by Leicester College to save organisations in need of new recruits both time and money.

The ATA system is specifically designed to support employers who wish to take on an apprentice but are unable to do so for any reason. We take away the recruitment and management problems of arranging for an apprentice to work for your company. You simply tell us what you want and we’ll provide you with a range of solutions.

In addition, we are a founding member of the Confederation of ATA’s (COATA), so by using us you can be assured of a receiving a high quality and reputable service which will help you to grow and develop your organisation.

What you can expect from the ATA

  • Potential candidates will be pre-screened by us to save you time.
  • Advice and guidance on health and safety matters.
  • Advice on grants and funding you may be entitled to.
  • Flexibility to employ apprentices directly or hire them from us under contract.
  • Continuous support from the ATA for both the employer and the apprentice during the apprenticeship.
