Leicester College has a long standing reputation for working in partnership with training providers to expand the breath of training solutions available to employers and learners across the East Midlands and nationally. The College establishes training partnerships to create collaborative provision, work-based learning and innovative schemes to engage small and medium sized businesses (SMEs).
Our partnership team creates a culture of continuous improvement by regularly enhancing the choice and delivery of training courses delivered to both the existing workforce and that of the future.
To ensure effective partnership working, the team ensures it is always up-to-date with the ever-changing government funding opportunities, initiatives and regulations.
In addition, we engage with partners across the breadth of funding sources including Apprenticeships and Work Place Learning.

Why Leicester College?

We provide training for thousands of local and national companies, through delivery of a range of training programmes, including: apprenticeships, work-based learning and bespoke training. The College provision spans the breadth of sector subject areas.
In 2011, Ofsted inspectors praised Leicester College for being “outstanding at meeting the needs of employers”. We were also praised for our partnership work, with Ofsted stating that our “partnership work is exemplary. The College’s reputation for flexibility and responsiveness is strong”.
Leicester College is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the UK with an annual budget of £54 million. We have more than 26,900 learners studying with us on a wide range of courses, from many different backgrounds and with different ambitions and aspirations.

We have achieved certification in the Training Quality Standard and hold the Charter Mark award for customer excellence. Leicester College also holds the Matrix quality standard for information, advice and guidance services for Employer Engagement; the Investors in People award; and the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) Leading the Learner Voice Award for Community and Social Cohesion.
