About Adult Basic Education Courses |
English, Maths and ICTWe offer adults the chance to improve their English and/or maths skills, with a number of free part-time programmes. You can attend classes at many venues throughout the city including centres in local communities, on employers’ premises, in probation offices and in local schools. You will work on an individual learning plan and you can take qualifications from entry level to level 2, which is the same level as GCSEs and NVQ2s. Please call us for an informal chat or to arrange a skills check If you would like to learn how to use a computer, we also offer IT sessions. We promise you it's not going to be like school, but if you want you can work towards qualifications and certificates including the national tests in literacy and numeracy at levels 1 and 2, which are equivalent to a pass at GCSE.
