Business Improvement Techniques |
|
Leicester College was one of the first Business Improvement Techniques (BiT) approved centres within the Print Industry. Staff from Leicester College's Print department worked closely with Proskills (Sector Skills Council for Print), to become RITA trained assessors and PAC analysts. This has enabled the College to offer companies within the Print Industry these new qualifications and Business Improvement services. By tailoring BIT techniques towards the Print and Manufacturing sector, this training assists in improving business efficiency by reducing lead time and costs, improve quality, and help you to be more responsive to your customer. Leicester College's Business Delivery Manager for Print, Laura Wade, said: "Having our print team trained by Proskills allows us to expand our skill set and qualification offering. "We see this continuous improvement as a great benefit to employers who are increasingly requiring more bespoke training. I feel that we are now more responsive to industry demand by becoming BiT and Lean approved." Print Industry Lead, Richard Moore from Proskills said: "The BiT qualification is a core business tool which looks to improve productivity, efficiency and quality and is a nationally-recognised qualification. Leicester College approach is aligned with the needs of the industry; there's flexibility and an increasing emphasis on work-based learning that is in demand by the print industry." |
