Arif Valli - Learning for Living

When supermarket worker Arif was made redundant, he didn’t know what to do next. However, his Social Worker suggested he come to Leicester College where he is developing his work training skills and is well on the way to finding voluntary or paid employment.

This course is designed to help learners build their skills in a real-life office environment to help prepare them for work.

Arif said: "Since starting the course I’ve learnt how to use eBay and sold books and boots and have mastered tasks in the office like laminating and guillotining. I’ve made lots of friends and I’m looking forward to getting my certificate at the end of the course. I’d like to do more courses to improve my English, which will help me with my reading."
