Launch Pad is a dynamic new department of Leicester College, offering a choice of pathways for you to enter skilled employment or full-time education. Launch Pad believes in you and your future.

Launch Pad 1 - Qualification Pathway

If you want to take a qualification pathway you will be entered onto National Open College Network (NOCN) qualifications. These programmes are of different sizes and lengths.

You will develop your personal and study skills and obtain a nationally-recognised qualification that will open doors for progression. You will also have the opportunity to explore a range of subjects. All delivered by specialist staff in the appropriate curriculum area.

Launch Pad 2 - Skilled Employment Pathway e2e

The skilled employment pathway will get you ready for work or an Apprenticeship by equipping you with the necessary skills to succeed in the job market, and by offering real experience within a choice of working environments. You will also have the opportunity to demonstrate your skills by taking a qualification.

The areas on offer are:

• Beauty
• Caring Professions
• Cook 'n' Taste (Catering)
• Fit 4 All (Sports)
• Floristry
• Hair
• Maintenance and Decorating (Construction)
• Music and Dance.

e2e courses are for 16 to 30 hours per week, over a timescale to suit you, where you can:

• Develop skills to enter the world of work.
• Experience taster, foundation and NVQ1 courses.
• Try out different work experiences.
• Receive help with your maths and English.
• Develop your job search skills.
