Ben Barnett - Body Repair Apprentice

Ben Barnett - Body Repair Apprentice

Ben Barnett is a Body Repair Apprentice at Brian Bowles and Sons Accident Repair Centre in Narborough. With the support of his employer, Ben attends Leicester College to develop his skills.

Ben said, "My Apprenticeship with Brian Bowles means that I can learn whilst I gain experience working in an environment that I really enjoy. I am eager to learn new techniques in College and get back to work where the experienced staff help me to gain a better understanding of everything I learn. This gives me the confidence to practise my skills, and the training enables me to help my employer provide the highest quality work to customers."

Ben's manager, Neil Bowles said, "Ben's progress and performance demonstrate how apprentices benefit the industry. Until recently, paint and body repair have not been recognised as skilled occupations. New technology is bringing more people into the industry and an Apprenticeship is an excellent way to equip them with the skills they need."

"The training builds knowledge of repair techniques and equipment whilst ensuring that employees have strong Health and Safety knowledge."

"We are currently preparing for accreditation for a number of industry standards which demonstrate the high level of service our technicians provide. Training employees like Ben ensures that we can maintain these standards into the future. With this training and his enthusiasm and dedication, Ben can become a leading panel technician."
