Pharmacy services are a major part of the modern healthcare system and have close links with big business. Our training will not only allow staff to work within a pharmacy environment but will also allow them to understand the business landscape that surrounds it. As well as pharmacy-related skills, employees will be able to build general business skills including IT for online ordering, retail and customer service to assist within the department, and maths and English skills for those who need them. On successful completion of the NVQ level 3 and BTEC, our training programmes allow delegates to apply to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society as a registered pharmacy technician. Successful Training

Grettel completed the Pharmacy Services training, which helped her to progress her career. Grettel said: “I enjoyed working in the pharmacy environment as a dispensing assistant but I was keen to develop my skills and become a qualified technician." “The training required me to be very methodical and this is a skill that I apply daily as accuracy is very important when checking and dispensing medication. I also use the knowledge that I gained when I am counselling patients about their medication." “My employer has also benefited because they now have another professional pharmacy technician as part of the team. The tutors were very supportive and professional and had extensive knowledge. The training was very well structured and I particularly enjoyed the practical sessions." “Based on my experience, I would recommend training to others.”
