Textile Manufacture

The clothing, footwear and textiles industry contributes around £10 billion to the UK economy each year and employs around 380,000 people. Recently, the UK’s manufacturing base has had a massive under-investment in training.

There is now a serious shortage of skilled workers. We hope to remedy this with training that offers the specific skills needed within a range of occupations such as tailors, dressmakers and footwear manufacturers. We work with Skillsfast UK, the Sector Skills Council for Apparel, Footwear and Textiles.
