Learner Support FundFeedback

The Learner Support Fund is available to any learner who is on a full or part-time course funded by the Young People’s Learning Agency, or asylum seekers aged between 16 to 18 on a full or part-time course funded by the Young People’s Learning Agency.
For over 19s, the Learner Support Fund is funded by the Skills Funding Agency.

The Learner Support Fund is means tested and can be used to help with a variety of costs during your time studying at the College like childcare fees, bursaries/living costs, kit/materials/books or travel costs.

What is the application process?

You will be sent information about a range of support funds you may be eligible for once you have completed a course application form and when you are offered a place on a course. Funds are means-tested so there will be an application procedure and you may need to see a Welfare Adviser. You can also make an appointment for pre-course welfare guidance to help you understand all you need to know about the costs of coming to College
If you would like any information on the Learner Support Fund, call Student Services on 0116 224 2240.
