I would like to welcome you to the third issue of Training for Success, where we aim to keep you informed of the current developments in education and training impacting on the region and local area.
I am in the process of writing the 2012-15 Employer Engagement Strategy for the College and have been reflecting on the progress made since the previous strategy was created in 2009.
We have had many successes during the last three years, in particular the introduction of an Apprenticeship Training Agency, where we offer a service to employers to help them engage with apprenticeships for the first time. Also of note has been the attainment of the Training Quality Standard, which helped to improve the way we interacted and communicated with employers. Continue reading →

Leicester Hospitals’ Outstanding Learner
Leicester Royal Infirmary were so impressed with Leicester College work placement Nilesh Patel that they awarded him the Leicester Hospitals’ Outstanding Learner Award 2011. After delighting his employers he was also offered a permanent job role in the Infirmary’s post room. Continue reading →
